Fear street

I had the great pleasure of teaming up with Elastic and Creative Director Hazel Baird to design & animate these opening titles for a Netflix trilogy called Fear Street. The three films were based on the “Fear Street” series of books by R.L. Stine. For the opening titles, Director Leigh Janiak wanted to set up the backstory of the fictional town, Shadyside, where the story takes place. To achieve this, I designed a dense series of fake newspaper headlines, article clippings, and archival photographs. I also designed the films main logo and created the original series of style frames that won the pitch (see below).
